SERVE 60™, The Volunteer Center of Greater Milwaukee and Chicago based alternative rocker, Esh The Singer, joined forces to “Make a Difference” during Daylight Saving Time weekend in Fall 2012. Over 1000 volunteers from both non-profits as well as other organizations spent their Saturday morning raking leaves, cleaning windows and preparing the homes of 350 older adults for the upcoming winter months in Milwaukee, WI.
Former American Idol Contestant and SERVE 60™Honorary Brand Ambassador, Esh The Singer, made sure all the volunteers were motivated to serve by giving a special early morning performance at the kick off rally. Esh then joined the volunteer activities with a very special group of volunteers who had won the chance to serve on her volunteer team through a special SERVE 60™promotion. The promotion which was activated via social media was a simple “call to action” from Esh to her fans. She asked them to tweet or write on the SERVE 60™ facebook page the words, “I Want to SERVE 60 with Esh”. The first 60 fans to write the words were then asked to donate their extra hour from Daylight Saving Time weekend and help Esh give back to the community. A turnkey promotion. A small amount of time. A huge impact.
